Bambinim - JDC's Children and Family Programming in Germany
Germany’s Jewish community has become significantly larger in recent years due to a large influx of Jewish immigrants from the Former Soviet Union. Working closely with the community to raise Jewish awareness and integrate the Russian-speaking émigrés, JDC develops a broad mix of quality programs that appeal to Jews of different affiliations and backgrounds.
Opened in 2007, Bambinim is a place where Jewish families with small children can experience Jewish traditions and Jewish culture. The families network here and organize activities that are individually tailored to answer their unique requirements. The courses, which center on the Jewish calendar and life-cycle, also cover the scope of developing the motor, emotional, cognitive, and oral skills of children as well as the communication capabilities between parents and children.
