Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village is a residential community and school in rural Rwanda that serves as home to some of Rwanda's most vulnerable youth, including orphans of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi. JDC is a founding partner of ASYV, which was modeled after the Yemin Orde Youth Village in Israel, originally established to serve Jewish orphans of the Holocaust.
