Living with Disability in Israel

New York, New York

March 18, 2014 - December 18, 2013 12:00 am

Meet Tzipi.

Tzipi's life completely changed two years ago.

When she was 23, she was hit by a car while serving as an IDF Commander at a high-profile security checkpoint in Israel. Her injuries appeared minor at first. Her condition soon deteriorated.

Tzipi found herself disabled, in a wheelchair, diagnosed with a debilitating chronic pain disorder and unsure how to navigate her new world.

How does a once-perfectly agile young woman learn to live her new life independently and with dignity?

Tzipi found a support system at JDC's Center for Independent Living in Tel Aviv, which helped her regain her confidence and complete daily tasks.

JDC's Center for Independent Living program is working with thousands of Israeli's with disabilities like Tzipi to achieve their dreams.

On March 18, join us for an intimate discussion on...
