Inside Jewish Argentina: 2013

July 28, 2013 - August 4, 2013

This summer, travel to Argentina with JDC.

With a population of over 225,000, Argentina is home to Latin America's largest Jewish community.

A prosperous community for most of its history, Argentina’s Jews were devastated by the 2001 economic crisis that turned middle-class families into “the new poor” virtually overnight.

Along with a group of your peers from the United States, UK and beyond, you'll volunteer with JDC programs to address community needs, meet with local leaders to discuss communal challenges and explore the culture and history of this vibrant country.

Trip chairs: Eric Barvin and Lauren Zabel
